Faye’s background is in advertising art, majoring in illustration at Red River Community College. She has over 20 years experience in advertising design, logo design and illustration.
She experienced a season of pain and loss in the death of her husband of 22 years, Wern Kliewer in December 2002.
Today, Faye is happily married to Darrell Hall, the top Volvo technician at Volvo Winnipeg of the Birchwood Group. She has been employed since 2007 by singer/songwriter Steve Bell, at Signpost Music, his indie record label. Oil painting was a childhood passion of Faye’s that was temporarily put aside during her freelancing career. Steve Bell’s travel photography with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank inspired her to once again take up brush and canvas to begin a second career in fine art.
Faye recognizes that life has its seasons, and whether one is experiencing pain or joy, God is the centre of all life and a relationship with Him gives meaning and purpose. Her spiritual roots are evident in many of her artistic endeavors.
Since taking a painting class in 2010 with Racheal Tycoles at the Winnipeg Art Gallery Studio, Faye had a prolific rush of new art – over 60 paintings were created within an eight month period. Most are portraits, in realistic and abstract styles.
Faye Hall is a member of MAWA, the Assiniboia Artists Cooperative and the Manitoba Society of Artists.
